CZ 2075 RAMI "D" Decocker Comes Home:)

Thanks to the good folks@CZ-USA.

I now have a shiny new RAMI BD.

This will eventually replace my aging RAMI for EDC.

It looks like the debut of the CZ P10 C 9mm pistol was a big success at the IWA Show in
Europe, where the striker-fired Wondernine was set to unveil to those over there in March.

However, one new product that interests me is the new for 2017, CZ 455 in stainless
steel.

This is on the CZUB website, and now in the New For/Updated  2017 section on the CZ-USA
website.

I'd like to have one in .22 Long Rifle, as it's cheaper to shoot than .22 Magnum..

and .22 LR seems to be more abundant these days, at least in my area,

The Nikko Sterling TARGETMASTER variable scope line would be ideal for

this 455. At least for ranges that I'd shoot it at.

They are not Leupold or Nightforce quality, but not the price either:)

Perfect for rimfires or other low recoil rifle rounds, at least in my limited
experience.


One new rifle I"d like to see in stainless,.is the CZ 512 Carbine.

It looks to be short, light and handy.

Even though I do plan to pick up this model laer this year.

Adding stainless to the mix might make it even better.


As I'm not a fan of suppressors, a least in this stage of my life..
as I have no need for such.

There are still some neat looking "threaded" CZs for 2017 like the P-07, and P-09
among others.

More CZ Pistol Musings.

Hello.

With all of the P10 C and other CZ pistol threads on forums from guys
(and gals) who really want to try a P10 C out.

I'm with them in wanting one to play with.. but know that the FDE version
(With factory Nites) are still a few months away from reaching us normal folks
that are not in the LE loop these days.

As I've stated before..this would be my very first FDE (Flat Dark Earth) framed
pistol, but my second CZUB Striker-fired pistol.

In looking at the various videos and writeen reviews...the P10 C's grip is longer than
a RAMI's or that of a PCR/P-01, yet right there with a P-07 or P07 Duty.

For not wanting to sound like a broken record everytime I post. I'll have to say that
ig a person can carry a LW Commamder or even full-sized 1911, a P10 C might even
be lighter.

Such would have to suffice for me until we see the Semi-Compact next year or so.
Although..a shorter grip would aid in concealment for to only some degree.

With all the internet hype over this new pistol, I doubt if it would garner as much
attention if it was a DA/SA gun like the P-07 or P-09, and that's the beauty of it.

Striker-fired, but in a modern era where one doesn't have to suffer a DAO striker
to get good hits.

I look at it as a progressive CZ. Something that if they were to offer it in an even
smaller package like the RAMI, could compete with the Shield, PPS, and G43.

With the futher delay in production or should I say shipment from CZUB.

Others are exploring other pistol options, but still (as am I ) hopeful to get their
eventual P10 C.

The Double Action vs Striker Fire.

Well, I shot my 13 year old RAMI today at the local (Diamondback Shooters) indoor range like
I try to do every week if possible.

Due to having carpal tunnel syndrome (for a couple years) in both hands/wrist, I had to fight the Double Action trigger pull for the first shot.


A PRC, or P01, not to mention a RAMI BD.. or other CZ decocker equipped gun would make it
a tiny bit easier due to the fact that the hammer rests on a ledge in the half-cocked postition.

Thus, when you pull the trigger, the hammer only has minimal travel.. as opposed to the RAMI
or other tradtional DA/SA gun from CZ.

Most of the SIGs that I've owned of shot have always shown to be guns that don't have their
hammers fully down.



However..even with the Half-Cock postion of the CZ Decocker pistols, that hammer still
has to come back and make the arc to full completion before the firing pin safey will
drop down and the hammer can fall foward to ingnite the cartridge.

Other brands might have the same setup, but I'm really only concerned with CZs here.

Then there are 1911s.

Sweet triggers on most of them, but a world apart from a RAMI or
other CZ trigger.

Nancy's 1911 in 9mm is a joy to shoot, but you get that with a 1911s uncomplicated
design that lends to fast action and superb accuracy.

As more range reports and videos keep rolling in on the CZ P10 C.

I'm getting e-mails and questions about this new CZ super pistol??

I've not been lucky enough to buy one yet or even glimpse on in person.

Hopefully, one of the local shops in Lewsiton or Clarkston...will get one in
for myself or others to handle/fondle..or even drool upon as they get intimate
with it's reportedly exquisite ergonomics and striker-fired trigger.

Time will tell if I'm able buy, steal  (probably not steal) or trade for one..so I
can make my own judgement(s) about such.

Zshould it orove to big, heavy or have too long a grip for me..I always have my
RAMI to fall back on...or I can go to a PCR or other CZ pistol,

The P-07, P-07 Duty, and  P-09 would also fall into the catagory of having a
longer grip than my RAMIs, unless one carries with the 14-round magazine.

Stay tuned, I'll give an update a soon as I get back from a shop that has a P10 C
in stock.

CZ Dilmema: What to buy in 2017?

Well.. by now most of you know that the P10 C was a big hit @SHOT this year.

As for myself, I wish CZUB and CZ-USA the very best with this new gun,
but was hoping to see the Sub-Compact, or I should say..Semi-Compact..
 debut in Las Vegas, as well.

With no real timeline on the SUB, I can only think about picking up a P10C
and seeing what the striker is like.

The fact that the P10C has an even longer grip than a Glock 19 is one factor
that might keep me from bringing a P10 C home.

I could buy a P07 or 1 PCR/P-01 if I wanted a longer grip than my RAMI..
alas, but no striker-fired trigger that most gunwriters and other SHOT SHOW
attendees are raving about.

Should the Sub-Compact/Semi-Compact become a reality later this year, I might think of
holding off and not buying a RAMI BD when they become more available.

Given that the P10 C is 25.9 ounces (unloaded) it puts it right with my
RAMI. The SUB/Semi would have a shorter magazine and grip thus trimming
the ounces even more.

Some might say I should get both?

 However the BD is the most expensive
RAMI and rivals some of the bigger CZs in price.

Whether or not I could afford a BD and then the SUB, I have no idea.

Its a good thing we have so many nice options in the CZ/DW line:)

The new CZ-USA/Dan Wesson
Buyer's Guides/Catalogs for
2017 are out now, or at least on
my doorstep the other day.

CZUB's new bird of prey, the
P10 Compact is on one of the covers.

This is the second striker-fired pistol entry from CZUB/CZ-USA into the market that once
took a quick glimpse of the then CZ-100 with it's DAO trigger, and passed it on by.

Speaking as a past owner of the 100, I'd have to say that in a world or striker-fired DAOs
these days, the CZ-100 just might sell better.

However, the newer P10 C seems to be the darling of the  CZ crowd and I have to
give a word of thanks, to those guys on You Tube that are providing such insight on this new model.

Like some others, I'm hopeful that the P10 C sells like hotcakes for CZUB/CZ-USA, but also
that they bring out the rumored P10 SC (Sub-Compact) by SHOT Show time.

With almost 13 years of RAMI and some RAMI P cary under my belt, or should I say on my belt.

I like shorter butt guns for carry and think the SC with the shorter grip and still utilizing the long slide
of the P10 C, will be ideal for my carry needs,.

The P10 C or even full sized gun that people are
also talking about and hoping for down the road, would be dandy for shoulder holster or home
defense...at least with my physical limitations.

There are a few new products in the CZUB and Dan Wesson line that interest me this year.

A DW Commamder that's bare bones goodness.

Looks plain, but I'm sure it carries and shoots great. It will be a limited production gun.

Then there is the sweetheart of a pistol that many a competition shooter has been waiting for.

Their heart has been set on a SHADOW 2 for more than a couple years, as shooters in the EU
and other countries have been using them, especially TEAM CZUB.

It also makes the cover of the new publication.

Well, I want to discuss the EVO SCORPION a bit later, as I'm hoping to save for one
this new year, after I pick up a P10 series pistol , or two:)
